Sheep and Lambs

We have a small flock of 30-50 sheep. Some are mixed breeds including a Black ewe, now grey with age, and a Jacob ewe. We raise great lamb, fed mostly on grass, but given some grain (GMO-free) to supplement their diet and to keep them friendly. It is important to keep them friendly for ease of moving them from one pasture to another.

We also raise purebred Canadian Arcott sheep. This breed was developed in Canada by crossing three breeds: Suffolk, Iles of France, and Leicester. They are fairly prolific, usually producing twins. Registered rams are often for sale throughout the year.
